TO Flyers Coaches Meeting

The Agenda will include roles & responsibilities of the coaching staff , the 2016 practice & meet schedules and a guest speaker.   

This meeting is mandatory for coaches.

You are welcome to invite any parent that you consider a potential TO Flyer coach.

DR. FRANK LITTLE Ph.D.  -  TRACK COACH  -


Coach Little was educated in England with a BS/MA in Psychology from the University of Surrey, England and his Ph.D. in Psychology from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.

Doc Little (his nickname) has coached a who's who of Olympic athletes across all disciplines from the hurdles and sprints to the 400m, 800m, & 1500m.

A partial list of Olympic athletes who have trained with Coach are as follows: KD Robinson 800m, Malachi Davis 400m, Dominique Harris 100m &200m, Marie Peric, Antione Maybank, Quincy Watts, John Drummond, Ato Bolden, Gentry Bradley, Obe Moore, Mike Grandville, Alvin Harrison, Jerome David. Alice Brown, Donna Mayhew,and Henry Andratti.

He has coached numerous athletes to National and World championships in the open and masters divisions. He has been on the American coaching staff at numerous Olympics, and World Championships. Coach Little was the head Track and Field coach for the country of Cape Verdi for the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. Since 1976 Coach has been to every Olympics and World Championships coaching an athlete.

Coach is a British national champion and a 1972 Munich Olympics runner where he finished 4th in the 400m. Coach is also the US masters and World Champion in 1989, masters track and field athlete of the year in '87, US masters champion '87, '88,'89,'93,and in England the university champion in the 100m,200m,400m from 1966-1969.

Coach Little started the Pasadena Running Roses youth track and field team in 1982. He has been the track coach at Cal state LA and at Cal-Tech. and as a adjunct assistant specialist for the Olympic caliber athletes at UCLA and USC. He currently coaches open and master runners as the Head Coach at Track West, the dominant masters team on the west coast.

What really sets Coach apart is his mental training of his athletes combined with him being renowned for his technical skills. His knowledge of bio-mechanics, kinesiology, physics and nutrition have made him the- go to coach, for Olympians.

The Thousand Oaks Flyers Youth Track Club is very excited to have Coach speak to our group. His insight and knowledge will definitely be valuable and give an elite, insiders view into the sport of track and field. He will speak for about 45 min. and be available for a 15 min question and answer period. He will start his discussion at 7pm, on Thursday November 19, 2015.  So please be on time, and show the respect this man has earned by being punctual. He has graciously agreed to speak to us and waive his normal speaking fee.
